E11even 2 is a contemporary art gallery in Cleveland, Ohio. With the URL “BestDamnGallery.com” secured and a self-description of “the rock’n’roll of art galleries,” their website needed to reflect the gallery’s cheeky attitude and touch of grunge (in the best way). 

 

Before the new website was designed, the brand needed some extra definition. Type selections and a palette of monochromatic grays with some secondary pops of vibrant colors from the neon sign in their lobby were solidified. The brighter secondary hues were used on the site as hidden gems, hiding behind button, link, and icon hovers.

 

An archive of past galleries, as well as a list of up-and-coming shows, are presented to intrigue and encourage attendance at opening and closing events. An application form was also created for artists who are looking to exhibit at a show. For frequent show-goers, a scroller of all the complimentary koozies from exhibitions past is displayed at the bottom of the home page.
